Job Overview:
Our client is seeking for experienced Heavy Truck Drivers with a proven track record of international driving to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience driving heavy trucks across various countries, demonstrating strong safety practices, excellent navigational skills and a deep understanding of international driving regulations and customs procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering factors like distance, weather and road conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all international and local driving regulations, customs protocols and safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo in a manner that ensures safety and prevents damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to health, safety, and security.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations on the road, including breakdowns and accidents, by following established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid heavy truck driving license with endorsements for international routes.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience driving heavy trucks internationally.
- Proven experience navigating different countries and terrains.
- Strong knowledge of international road safety regulations and customs processes.
- Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak in English
Qualifications:
- High school Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Additional certification or degree is a plus.
